This Alabama city is in the running for ‘Best Destination for History Buffs’

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – If you’re looking for a place to travel that has had rich influence on America’s history, look no farther than Alabama’s own charming state capital. With deep influence on the Civil War and Civil Rights Movement, Montgomery has been home to many paramount events in our nation’s history. And currently, Montgomery is a nominee in the USA Today and 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards for “Best Destination for History Buffs.”

Listed among nominees such as Savannah, Boston, and Gettysburg, Montgomery has played a vital role in bringing the nation to where it is today, with the rich history still displayed in the city’s architecture, museums, art and culture.
