U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions
Mary and I are profoundly grateful for our children and, all of sudden, 9 grandchildren – 3 having arrived this year! I also never forget how blessed I am to represent the people of Alabama in the world’s greatest deliberative body – the United States Senate. I am encouraged by our people every day and strive to be worthy of their trust.
Gov. Robert Bentley
Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of year to reflect on all for which we have to be grateful. I am especially thankful for Alabama; the state where I grew up and learned the values of a strong work ethic and to serve others. I am thankful for Alabamians’ charitable nature and willingness to help neighbors in need. I am thankful for Alabama’s deeply rooted commitment to our military and that Alabama is a place where ingenuity and grit are valued and fostered. And finally, the people of Alabama have entrusted me with the opportunity to continue to serve and for that, I am thankful. I wish everyone a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving!
Rep. Bradley Byrne (AL-01)
It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays, but we can’t forget to give thanks for our many blessings. I’m thankful to have such a loving and all powerful God. I’m so thankful for my family, especially for the birth of my first grandchild, MacGuire. And, I’m thankful for the opportunity to make a difference for the hardworking people in Southwest Alabama and all throughout our great state.
Rep. Martha Roby (AL-02)
I am so thankful for my husband, Riley, and our children, Margaret and George. Not a day goes by that they don’t remind me why I came to Washington: to leave behind a better, more stable future for my children and all those in future generations. I am thankful for my parents who raised me and will always serve as models of wisdom and character. I am thankful for the many friends who constantly surround me with much-needed prayers and support.
I’m also thankful for the men and women of our military – many of whom won’t get to see their families this Thanksgiving. Their willingness to serve keeps this nation the safe and free, and for that I am forever grateful. Let’s remember those who are right now serving in harm’s way and say a special prayer for them as our families gather this Thanksgiving.
Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-03)
During this time of thanksgiving, I am thankful for my family, our country and for God and His many blessings. I am honored to have the opportunity to once again serve the people of the Third District and am looking forward to working with the Republican-controlled House and Senate next year. Wishing you all a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.
Rep. Robert Aderholt (AL-04)
The Thanksgiving holiday can quickly get lost in food, football and shopping. However it is important to pause to remember that we are truly blessed to live in the greatest country in the history of the world. We are also blessed with a future that looks brighter than ever as we work to get this country back on the right track.
Rep. Mo Brooks (AL-05)
Thanksgiving is a time when we are reminded of what is truly important. This year I am especially thankful for the foundational principles that make America great and the courageous men and women who sacrifice daily to allow us all to live in freedom. I am forever grateful for those Americans who established a republic that promotes free enterprise and the moral values that each of us hold dear.
Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard
I am thankful for my wife, Susan, and my two sons, Clayte and Riley, whose accomplishments fill me with pride. I’m grateful to live in and serve a community and state in which conservative ideals, Christian values, and a strong work ethic are centerpieces of everyday life. I am thankful to serve in the Alabama Legislature with men and women on both sides of the aisle who personify the term ‘citizen statesmen’ and who stand up for what’s right for the people of Alabama. I’m forever grateful for the soldiers, police officers, and other first responders who put their lives on the line so that we may live in the land of the free. Above all, I’m thankful for the blessings and daily reminders, both large and small, that the Lord showers upon each one of us.
Alabama House Minority Leader Craig Ford
I am thankful for my children, Jonathan and Wells, for my wife, Gwen, and for all my friends and family. I am thankful for the blessings God has given me, and for the opportunity to serve the people of Etowah County in the state Legislature. I am thankful for this country, for our freedom and for all those who serve or have served in our military. But most of all, I am thankful for my lord and savior, Jesus Christ, and for parents who raised me to be the man I am today — a man of faith.
