With the arrival of Texas and Oklahoma into an expanded SEC, and the league remaining at 18 regular season matchups for conference play on the court, it was inevitable for games to get cut.
Each team is only playing three home and three aways – meaning that while everyone plays everyone, each team will only play the same team twice in three cases.
The league did, however, choose to preserve the double edition of the Iron Bowl of Basketball, with the annual home and home between the Tide and Tigers being renewed once again.
For Alabama, it also will face Kentucky twice in addition to Mississippi State.
Auburn’s other two double opponents are Ole Miss and Georgia.
In terms of the new additions, both Alabama and Auburn will host Oklahoma and have to go on the road against Texas.
The entire list of opponents for each team in the conference can be viewed in an official press release from the SEC here.
