Montgomery-based SC Events & Communications has rebranded as Surepoint Strategies and announced an expansion into communications, branding and organizational management.
The company said its new name reflects its growth from an event-planning business into a broader strategic partner serving corporations, government organizations, nonprofits and trade associations across Alabama and the Southeast.
Surepoint also unveiled a new visual identity, website and company principle: “Strategy with certainty.”
“We’ve never been just an events company,” founder and President Susan Scott Carothers said. “Our clients come to us when the stakes are high and there’s no room for error.”
Carothers said the company aims to ensure clients can participate in and enjoy their events rather than spending their time managing logistics.
“This rebrand simply reflects what we’ve already become: the firm that organizations across the Southeast call on when they’ve got to get it right,” she said.
The firm has spent more than two decades producing conferences, galas, groundbreakings, public affairs events and political gatherings.
Its client roster has included Alabama Power, PowerSouth Energy, Southeast Gas, the Alabama State Port Authority, the Business Council of Alabama, the Alabama League of Municipalities, the Alabama Forestry Association and the Alabama Association of REALTORS.
Surepoint has also worked with Diageo North America, chambers of commerce, universities and political leaders throughout the region.
Alongside its event-planning work, the company is expanding its services to include brand messaging, mission and vision development, media relations, digital strategy, stakeholder communications and operational support for nonprofits and associations.
Carothers said the new identity better represents the range of work the company already performs.
“This rebrand is about making sure our name matches the role we already play for the organizations that depend on us,” she said.
