Conservative activist Riley Gaines believes former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson is the right man to be Alabama’s next U.S. Senator.
Riley Gaines, a former University of Kentucky swimmer turned conservative activist, announced her endorsement of Hudson this week.
“Hi, it’s Riley Gaines. You may know me for standing up to protect women’s sports. I didn’t do that because it was easy, I did it because it was right,” Gaines said. “I’m using my voice again today to ask you to support someone who has always chosen what’s right, even when it meant risking everything.”

Hudson officially launched a campaign to become the state’s next Senator in May. The veteran, who currently resides in Birmingham with his wife and children, heads Covenant Rescue Group, an organization that fights against human trafficking.
“Jared Hudson is a former Navy SEAL, a law enforcement officer, a husband, father, and a bold man of faith. He has spent his life protecting American families, defending our values, and speaking the truth without apology,” Gaines continued. “Now, Jared is running for the U.S. Senate, and he needs our help.”
“We need bold conservatives in the Senate who will fight for truth, protect women and girls, and defend the country we love.”
This is not the first time Gaines has weighed in on Alabama politics. In March, Gaines utilized her platform to argue against proposed reform measures that she said would levy a prescription tax at the expense of consumers.
Gaines now wants to help Hudson change Washington, D.C., for the better.
“The radical Left wants to silence people like me and Jared because we won’t cave,” she said. “This isn’t just about Alabama. Jared’s victory would send a message across the entire country that Americans are done being told to sit down, shut up, and accept lies.”
The party primary election for the open U.S. Senate seat will be held on May 19, 2026.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall has also announced his campaign for Senate.
