Rightside Media is proud to announce the addition of Katelyn Bussey and a new recurring segment, The Bussey Brief, which launched today, May 1, in its debut — now available across all platforms.
Bussey will join hosts Allison Sinclair and Amie Beth Shaver to deliver sharp, unfiltered commentary on the political moments, cultural shifts, and current events defining America right now, through a Gen Z lens.
The Bussey Brief is where Washington meets the real world. Each segment will feature Bussey’s take on the news cycle, Gen Z’s relationship with politics and culture, what’s actually being talked about inside D.C. circles, and the trends shaping how the next generation sees the country and its future. From policy to pop culture, Bussey will cover it all—candidly, directly, and without the filter.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Katelyn Bussey to The Rightside! Katelyn’s honest, witty, and unapologetic voice on American politics, culture and Gen Z is needed now more than ever!” said Rightside co-hosts Allison and Amie Beth.
The Bussey Brief marks Rightside Media’s latest addition following its partnership deal with Yellowhammer News earlier this year.
“Politics doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It lives inside culture, inside the conversations people are actually having, and honestly it’s a lot more interesting when you stop pretending it’s off-limits,” said Katelyn Bussey.
“The Bussey Brief is my chance to talk about what’s happening in Washington, bring Gen Z into the conversation, and prove that politics doesn’t have to be taboo just because ‘cancel culture’ made it that way. So excited to be joining The Rightside alongside Allison and Amie Beth!”
Rightside Media debuted its flagship program, “Rightside Radio,” in 2021 and has since expanded into a full-scale multimedia company.
Now rebranded as “The Rightside,” hosts Allison Sinclair and Amie Beth Shaver, alongside Justin “JP” Plott, will continue delivering critical political commentary, cultural discussion, and interviews with Alabama newsmakers through their daily digital broadcast.
Katelyn Bussey is a Republican political communications professional specializing in strategic campaign communications, with experience spanning Capitol Hill, national party politics, and statewide advocacy.
The Bussey Brief debuts today on the Rightside Podcast — available on all major platforms. The Rightside airs daily 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., with The Bussey Brief every Friday at 10:30 a.m. at www.rightsidemedia.org.
