Alabama-based Regions Bank ranked No. 1 in small-business banking satisfaction in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Small Business Banking Satisfaction Study, with customers giving the bank high marks for trust, service and banking convenience.

Regions announced the ranking Nov. 5. The bank scored above the industry average in nearly every dimension measured, showing particular strength in customers’ trust, their interactions with bank employees and their ability to bank how and when they want.

The nationwide study included responses from 6,974 small-business owners or financial decision-makers. Participants represented companies with annual sales ranging from $50,000 to $20 million.

“Earning the top ranking in small-business banking satisfaction is especially meaningful because it comes directly from our customers,” said John Jordan, head of consumer banking for Regions Bank.

Regions serves more than 300,000 small businesses, ranging from family-owned companies to health care providers, manufacturers and nonprofits.

“It is an honor to serve as the hometown bank for more than 300,000 small businesses that are the economic heartbeat of our communities. From family-owned businesses to health care providers, manufacturers, nonprofits and others, small businesses serve a vital role in driving growth and creating jobs throughout the communities we serve,” Jordan said.

For those business owners, banking needs can range from managing daily cash flow to securing financing for an expansion. Regions offers business lending, cash management, treasury management and digital banking services across the Southeast, Midwest and Texas.

Nikki Stephenson, head of commercial banking for Regions Bank, said understanding an owner’s needs is central to that work.

“Whether an owner is managing growth, investing in new opportunities or navigating uncertainty, our bankers work alongside them to provide insights, solutions and long-term guidance. That’s how strong relationships are built, and it’s why this recognition is especially meaningful,” Stephenson said.

Along with its in-person services, Regions said it continues to invest in digital banking capabilities that give business owners more flexibility in managing their finances.

The JD Power study collected responses between May and August 2026. It examined small-business banking experiences at banks with at least $60 billion in domestic deposits and 200 branches nationally.

Birmingham-based Regions Financial Corporation reports $163 billion in assets. Its banking subsidiary operates more than 1,200 banking offices and more than 1,750 ATMs across the South, Midwest and Texas.
