Regions Bank a ‘Military Spouse Friendly Employer’ for fourth consecutive year

Regions Bank is once again being recognized for its service to members of the U.S. military and their families.

The Birmingham-based financial giant, for the fourth consecutive year, has been named a ‘Military Spouse Friendly Employer’ by Military Spouse magazine.

“We celebrate and honor employers who proudly bear the badge of Military Spouse Friendly Employer,” said Kayla Lopez, Director of Military Partnerships, Military Friendly. “These forward-thinking organizations not only recognize the sacrifices military spouses make but also embrace the invaluable contributions they bring to the workforce. Being designated as Military Spouse Friendly is not just an award, it’s a commitment to fostering a workplace culture that appreciates resilience, adaptability, and unwavering dedication.”

Clara Green, head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Regions, said the bank values its relationships with veterans, current service members, and also their families.

“Our company is made stronger by the integrity, skills, and talents of associates who come from military backgrounds and military families,” said Green.

“These colleagues represent various departments across the bank; what they all have in common is an unwavering commitment to excellence and a passion for quality service. It is our honor to provide career opportunities – and a workplace culture that truly values their experiences.”

Regions Bank supports military-friendly career opportunities by:

  • Establishing a career transition program called BRAVE (Building Regions Associate Veteran Experience) which specifically for the purpose of supporting veterans and military spouses during their transitions to the civilian workforce
  • The bank is a member of the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), a Department of Defense career program connecting military spouses with hundreds of member employers who commit to recruit, hire, promote and retain military spouses
  • Working with the national program Hiring Our Heroes, which helps connect transitioning service members and their families with career opportunities

This year’s Military Spouse Friendly Employers list will be published in the 2024 Winter issue of Military Spouse.
