Recognizing Memorial Day in Alabama

For the past 12 years and for 13 times overall, I have had the privilege to visit each one of our 67 counties in the State of Alabama. While visiting #All67, I have been introduced to many programs throughout our state that are often regarded as some of the finest celebratory programs that are conducted anywhere in our nation.

As Memorial Day approaches on Monday, May 27th, I thought I would take a moment to suggest certain locations and particular programs that you and your family may want to attend if you do not have specific activities that you have scheduled.

The following programs are some that I have personally attended over the last 10 years that I believe you will find to be both patriotic and emotionally riveting as you consider the true meaning of Memorial Day and why we should take a few moments of personal reflection as to the reason we celebrate this important day across our nation on an annual basis.
