MONTGOMERY — In a ceremony at the State Capitol Tuesday afternoon, Governor Kay Ivey signed the Rebuild Alabama Act into law.
She was joined by legislative leaders and dozens of supporters of the infrastructure bill in lauding the final passage of HB 1, HB 2 and HB 3.
Before signing the legislation and distributing ceremonial pens, Ivey addressed the public, as did some of the legislators standing proudly behind her.
“[Today] is a historic day for the state of Alabama… I am so proud to have watched the legislature in its finest hours of operation,” the governor said.

The special session of the legislature has now wrapped up, with the 2019 regular session to reconvene on Tuesday, March 19.
