Teddy Powell, the Republican nominee for Alabama House of Representatives District 10 in a special election to replace a vacancy in the seat, released his first video advertisement as election day draws near.
“This ad is to show folks that I know I’m not perfect, but I’ll always be real and honest; I’ll work hard for District 10, and I’m committed to getting things done in Montgomery,” Powell said of his newly released spot.
In the commercial, Powell makes clear he’s not a career politician.

“We’ve got enough actors and political theater in D.C. and Montgomery,” Powell says in the add. “I’m ready to get to work, solving real problems that face real people like me and you.”
“I’m ready to get to work for the people of District 10. I’m ready to bring people together so we can accomplish great things for Alabama just as we have in Madison.”
Powell is currently a two-term city councilman in Madison. He’ll face off against Huntsville resident and professional counselor Marilyn Lands, who was defeated by former Rep. David Cole in the 2022 election. Cole resigned in August 2023.
