The Medical Association of the State of Alabama is hosting personal protective equipment (PPE) donation day on Monday. The public is asked to give what they can to help keep medical workers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Drop off locations have been set up around the state.
The association is assuring the public that all donated supplies will go to individuals “on the front lines striving to help our sick and keep the virus from spreading.”
The Medical Association is specifically asking for these items:
- N95 masks,
- surgical masks,
- isolation gowns,
- gloves (latex and latex-free)
- face shields
- sterile specimen collection swabs
- commercial grade bleach wipes
- alcohol wipes
- hand sanitizer (70% ethyl alcohol)
