This week, national headlines were made when two Israeli embassy staff members were killed by a pro-Palestinian assailant on Wednesday while they were departing an event held at the Capital Jewish Museum in the nation’s capital.

Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, the two victims of the heinous slaying, were reportedly set to be engaged before losing their lives in the senseless killing.

Hours after the initial news broke, an arrest has been made of Elias Rodriguez, 31, of Chicago.

Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl has often put himself at the center of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine in Gaza and has made himself a powerful voice in the pro-Israel movement in the United States.

Groups in support of Palestine have offered support to Rodriguez, something which is bewildering to Pearl and he let everyone know that via his social media:

“These people are sick and demonic,” Pearl wrote, sharing a report describing how Palestinian groups were glorifying the murderer. “This coward guns down 2 beautiful young Israelis and the Jihadis Celebrate the DC Shooter.”

Pearl last month was named chairman of U.S. Israel Education Association and has always used his platform to speak about the issues he feels are most important.

That is not going to change anytime soon, especially after the tragedy in Washington.
