The Alabama Republican Party hosted another record-breaking fundraising event this month in Montgomery. The organization’s annual summer dinner, with headlining speaker and RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump, drew in $1.3 million. The sum breaks the previous record achieved when her father-in-law, Donald Trump, attended last summer’s dinner.
Over $1 million of the money raised will directly support President Trump’s presidential campaign, while $300,000 will go to the state Republican party.
ALGOP Chairman John Wahl has played a major role in coordinating the recent string of wildly successful fundraising events.
“We are beyond excited to set a new fundraising record this year,” said Wahl. “The incredible outpouring of support from Alabama Republicans is a testament to their dedication to President Trump and the conservative values that guide our party. The Republican Party is committed to standing for the rights and freedoms of each individual, as well as rebuilding our economy, securing our southern border, and protecting our children from leftist indoctrination. The people of Alabama believe in these values, and we are going to keep fighting for them.”
“This isn’t just a financial victory—it’s a reflection of the deep-rooted support for the Republican Party here in Alabama. Our state continues to lead the way in supporting conservative principles, and we look forward to building on this momentum as we head into the critical 2024 elections.”
The dinner was the third time since 2021 that the political organization has raised over a million dollars in a single event.
