Montgomery’s Christie Strategy Group promotes Maeci Walker to vice president

Christie Strategy Group on Monday announced the promotion of Maeci Walker to vice president of the Montgomery-based governmental relations firm, which is celebrating 25 years of service in 2019.

Walker joined the firm in 2011 as manager of public affairs and was quickly promoted to director of public affairs. Prior to joining Christie Strategy Group, Walker worked in public relations at the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education.

“Maeci has played an integral part in our firm’s growth and success, and I am thrilled to continue working with her as she expands her knowledge and uses her talents and experience to further the interests of our clients at the federal, state, and local levels,” stated Martin Christie, firm president.

Walker received a communications degree from Samford University and a masters in advertising and public relations from the University of Alabama. She serves on the board of directors of Gateway, Birmingham’s oldest nonprofit, and volunteers with the Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham. Walker is also active in the women’s ministry at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. She and her husband, R.B., reside in Birmingham with their son, Bo, and two Frenchtons, Zelda and Ruby.
