U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum visited Warrior Met Coal mines in Tuscaloosa and Berry on Friday to promote President Donald Trump’s recent actions to promote the coal industry.
Trump signed several executive orders last week aimed at “Reinvigorating America’s Beautiful Clean Coal Industry.”
Burgum visited the Alabama coal mines to support the President’s “executive order this week to produce more clean and beautiful American coal. Mine, Baby, Mine!”

Burgum also spoke with Fox Business about the issue during the trip.
“The product that’s made right here, harvested right here, mined right here, is essential,” Burgum said.

U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) showed her support for the president’s policies on coal and said she looks forward to working with the administration in the future keep lowering energy costs.
