SEC message boards have produced some of the wildest takes and stories in college football over the years. From the origin of LSU fans smelling like corn dogs to tearing down high school kids over their decision of where to attend school, SEC fans have always found another gear.
But Nick Saban’s retirement and subsequent mass exodus of players may have pushed one Alabama fan over the edge of insanity, suggesting that fans stop donating to their churches and instead begin donating to Alabama’s NIL collective Yea Alabama.

“Stop tithing if you need until we dig our way out,” user SABAN COUNTRY typed on the BamaOnLine message board.
“We are in a CRISIS. Your church will be fine. If it’s not you can join another. Football is religion in Alabama, and it’s time to prove it.”
When talking about the “crisis”, the user is referring to the belief that Yea Alabama is significantly behind other schools with regard to NIL.
Since Saban’s announcement and even before that since the Rose Bowl loss, there has been a strong push from the University and donating fans to contribute to the collective with the thought that it will help Alabama’s lagging NIL.
With DeBoer losing players left and right, some fans are getting desperate. Chances are, the roster will look very different come the end of spring as it does right now with the portal window opening for other schools and not just Alabama.
But for now, the Crimson bleeding will likely continue for the Tide.
