SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly, NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas, and the Washington Free Beacon‘s Eliana Johnson have been named moderators for the Republican Presidential Primary Debate in Tuscaloosa, the Republican National Committee announced.
The GOP also selected NewsNation, “The Megyn Kelly Show” on SiriusXM, the Washington Free Beacon and Rumble as official partners for the Dec. 6 debate.

“I am thrilled to announce that the RNC has sanctioned the fourth Republican primary debate in Alabama with NewsNation, ‘The Megyn Kelly Show,’ the Washington Free Beacon, and Rumble as our partners,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said.
“With less than a year out from Election Day 2024, the fourth debate stage will showcase our winning Republican agenda against Biden’s record of failure.”
ALGOP Chairman John Wahl called the shot this summer in an interview with Yellowhammer News. “Alabama is a great state to showcase,” he said.
“We’re a Super Tuesday state. We’re a deep red state,” Wahl said. “And we’re a state that really showcases the citizenship that Republican candidates should be going after. A lot of issues that we’re seeing have the biggest impact on the national stage are also the ones that are most important to the people of Alabama.”

While unconfirmed as the official debate location, the University of Alabama said its campus “would be pleased to serve as a neutral site for the debate, and hosting the event would not be an endorsement of any candidate or political party.”
To qualify for the Tuscaloosa debate, candidates must have at least 80,000 unique donors and either 6% support in two approved national polls or 6% in one poll from two separate early-voting states.
Five GOP candidates participated Wednesday night in the third debate, including former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
