Manufacturing Madness contest to determine ‘coolest’ state product made in Alabama

Manufacture Alabama has announced the launch of Manufacturing Madness: The Coolest Thing Made in Alabama, a contest celebrating the state’s best manufacturers and their top-of-the-line products.

“Alabama’s manufacturers produce some of the most innovative, high-quality products in the world, driving our state’s economy and shaping the future for generations to come,” said Jon Barganier, the President and CEO of Manufacture Alabama. “Manufacturing Madness is a chance to highlight the incredible people, companies, and products that make our state a national leader and we’re excited to celebrate the craftsmanship and ingenuity that helps to define Alabama. We look forward to seeing which product earns the title of ‘The Coolest Thing Made in Alabama’ this year!”

The competition begins next week on February 17 and companies can be nominated here.

The nomination period for the competition ends on March 7 before the ‘popular vote’ opens the following Tuesday and concludes on Friday. Voters in this phase will narrow the field down to the top 16. From there, starting on March 18, the remaining companies will be placed in a bracket with winners advancing to the following round every Tuesday until the ‘Final Four’ is selected on April 1 with a winner named by April 4.

After the competition, the winner along with the other final four participants will be recognized by Manufacture Alabama at a ceremony set to be attended by state leaders and manufacturing industry representatives.
