‘Lock her up’: Tuberville calls out LA Mayor Karen Bass for trying to stop a federal immigration raid

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) says the Mayor of Los Angeles should be arrested for attempting to shut down a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid on Monday.

Video shows LA Mayor Karen Bass at MacArthur Park talking to ICE officials conducting the operation.

“They need to leave and they need to leave right now,” Bass said to reporters. “This is unacceptable!”

Mayor Bass also posted on her social media about the situation.

Tuberville responded by saying, “Lock her up.”

This is not the first time Tuberville has called for a Democrat official in California to be punished for using their office to impede federal law enforcement activity. He said the same of California Governor Gavin Newsom last month amid the violent wave of riots and lawlessness.

“Gavin Newsom has failed to do his job,” Tuberville (R-Auburn) posted during the heat of the riots last month. “LA looks like a third world country — anarchists are in charge, law enforcement is being attacked, and the rule of law is nonexistent.”

“Lock him up,” Tuberville said.
