According to a recent report from the U.S. Census Bureau, an average of 10 people a day move to Limestone County.
Limestone County Economic Development Association (LCEDA) President and CEO Bethany Shockney explains why the growth is important to the county.
“With the people moving into Limestone County, we can differentiate ourselves between other communities with similar unemployment rates,” Shockney said.
According to Shockney, another key factor to Limestone County’s success is the strategic location along the I-65 and I-565 transportation corridors.
Limestone County is attracting a wide range of automotive, aerospace, and other industries. The county is home to a highly trained workforce with nationally recognized local workforce development resources.
Numerous recreational opportunities have also fueled Limestone County’s accelerated growth. Parks, miles of trails, the arts and boundless opportunities for fishing and water sports provide the perfect setting for outdoor enjoyment.
