U.S. Senate hopeful Katie Britt in 2021 raised more than $5 million in sixth months of fundraising, which represents the largest single-year fundraising haul of any Republican candidate in Alabama history.
According to the Britt campaign, 85% of funds the candidate raised in the fourth quarter came from in-state contributors. Of the more than $1.2 million Britt raised from October 1 through December 31, 99% were from individual contributors.
The campaign advised that none of Britt’s fundraising includes loans, self-funding or committee-to-committee transfers. Additionally, nearly 87% of funds she raised came from Alabama donors.
Britt asserted that her fundraising numbers reflected the support her campaign had received on the trail.
“I am excited and honored that so many hardworking Alabamians are joining our grassroots campaign and this movement to preserve the American Dream,” stated Katie Britt. “It is clear that families in every corner of our state know that I will always put Alabama first, which is why our campaign is the only one in this race seeing its support coming from Alabama.”
The first-time candidate for public office touted her campaign’s strategy of visiting every county in an effort to garner support among the grassroots.
“We completed our first 67-county tour on the campaign trail in December, and we are working nonstop to complete our second such tour before either of my opponents make a dent in their first,” proclaimed Britt. “I am proud of the grassroots momentum we continue to build and look forward to visiting even more local communities across Alabama as the May 24 Republican primary approaches. As the next Senator for Alabama, I will fight tirelessly to defend our Christian conservative values, safeguard our constitutional liberties and God-given rights, and save the country we know and love for our children and our children’s children.”
