As family and friends gathered in the Oval Office on Wednesday to witness Secretary of State Marco Rubio officially swear in Warren Stephens as Ambassador to the United Kingdom, another familiar face was also in attendance – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Montgomery).
While Stephens is an Arkansas native, he also has ties to the state of Alabama. In 1975, Stephens graduated from Trinity Presbyterian High School in Montgomery, Britt’s hometown. The Senator also met with Stephens ahead of his confirmation.
Always great to see my friend Warren Stephens, President Trump's nominee to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Warren is a proud Arkansan, but many people don’t know he graduated from Trinity Presbyterian High School in Montgomery, Alabama. Warren's extensive… pic.twitter.com/TjpVOmeuv2

“Warren’s extensive business and dealmaking acumen makes him exceptionally qualified to strengthen our special relationship with Britain. Looking forward to supporting his confirmation and advancing President Trump’s vision for Peace through Strength,” Britt said following their meeting.
The visit came just ahead of President Trump’s trip to Tuscaloosa Thursday night to deliver a commencement address for 2025 graduates at the University of Alabama, Sen. Britt’s alma mater. President Trump was introduced by none other than.
Thrilled @POTUS will deliver the 2025 commencement address at the University of Alabama. What a tremendous honor for my alma mater. Looking forward to a historic occasion for graduates and their families. Roll Tide!

This marks Britt’s fifth official visit to the White House this year. It also marks her second swearing-in ceremony. In February, Britt was on hand to congratulate Dan Driscoll as the 26th Secretary of the Army.
Just nine days into his second term as 47th President of the United States, President Trump invited Britt to join him as he signed the first bill of his presidency, her Laken Riley Act, into law. One week later on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Britt was back at the White House to witness President Trump sign an executive order restoring the integrity of Title IX to ensure biological men are not competing in women’s and girls’ sports.
And in March of this year, Britt joined U.S. Rep. Kat Cammack of Florida at White House Women’s History Month celebrations to announce the formation of the Republican Women’s Caucus. In his remarks, President Trump also re-told the story of Sen. Britt providing him timely counsel on the issue of in-vitro fertilization last year.
The Trump Administration’s high regard for Sen. Britt doesn’t stop at visits to the White House, however. In February, Britt was chosen to lead a presidential delegation on behalf of President Trump to Uruguay for the presidential inauguration of His Excellency Yamandú Orsi.
Britt has also garnered the respect of many members of President Trump’s cabinet, including Small Business Administration head Kelly Loeffler and Education Secretary Linda McMahon, both of whom asked Britt to introduce them at their respective confirmation hearings.
Today, I introduced Kelly Loeffler at her nomination hearing. From growing up on a family farm to building Fortune 500 companies, she embodies the American Dream she'll help others achieve. Her expertise and dedication to service make her a great choice to lead @SBAgov. pic.twitter.com/e4P7evDM4H

Our students & parents deserve better than a failing status quo. Proud to introduce @Linda_McMahon as President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Education—she'll put parents in the driver's seat & align education with 21st-century workforce needs. It's time for real change. pic.twitter.com/BrZxcE1VAZ
