Katherine Robertson, chief counsel to Attorney General Steve Marshall and the GOP nominee to succeed him, is calling out Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed over what she considers his poor record of running Alabama’s capital city.

Robertson was reacting to Reed’s recent comments about the Congressional race in the newly redrawn District 2.
“I’m talking to too many people in Montgomery who were not organized in Alabama to save a seat that was stolen from us midterm with a young brother by the name Shomari Figures,” Reed said.

Reed has faced heavy criticism for the crime problem in Montgomery, including 10 people being shot during the recent Labor Day weekend.

Tuberville, who is the Republican nominee for Alabama Governor, has suggested that he would deploy the National Guard in Montgomery if crime continues to be a problem in the city.
