Monday, in the prelude to the National Championship game match-up between the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia, Gov. Kay Ivey announced her end of a wager with her Georgia counterpart Gov. Brian Kemp (R) over the contest.
Ivey offered Dreamland BBQ, an Alabama institution that began on the outskirts of Tuscaloosa near the University of Alabama.

“Ahead of tonight’s big game, we’re making the rivalry a little more interesting,” Ivey said. “I’m wagering Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp some of Alabama’s finest barbecue. Dreamland and the University of Alabama football go hand and hand. In Alabama, we take great pride in these two Tuscaloosa icons. Good luck, Governor Kemp. Your Bulldogs are going to need it.”
No word from Kemp on either his Facebook or Twitter accounts as to what Ivey could expect if Georgia wins Monday’s game.
UPDATE:
Kemp responded at 5:35 p.m. CST with his own offering for Ivey.
