U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville is continuing to support relocating the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s national headquarters to Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville. In a video posted to his X account Thursday, Tuberville (R-Auburn) said the decision made by President Joe Biden to keep the organization’s main base of operations in Maryland could soon be reversed and that it is not “set in stone.” He also noted that he plans to show President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, Kash Patel, all that Redstone offers.
“You know, we’re looking for a permanent place for all of the FBI,” said Tuberville (R-Auburn). “There’s no better place than Huntsville. There’s a lot of water underneath the bridge for the next month or so to kind of get all the ducks in a row with this.”
The FBI needs a new place to call home, and there’s no place better than the Rocket City.
I look forward to showing our next FBI Director, @Kash_Patel, the state-of-the-art facilities at Redstone Arsenal. pic.twitter.com/uiim0jgVeN

Tuberville believes in consolidating the agency’s resources into one location.
“But we’re in great shape in Huntsville, behind the wall at Redstone Arsenal with the FBI,” he said. “We’re still continuing to build. We’ve got a lot more work to do there. We have more people that will move in. But wouldn’t it be great to have the entire FBI agency in Huntsville, Alabama?
“It would be perfect.”
Tuberville first came out in support of the plan to move the FBI to Huntsville in July 2023.
