Innovate Alabama Talent Pilot Program application portal closing tomorrow

Alabama businesses looking to shape the future of the state’s workforce can apply for the Innovate Alabama Talent Pilot Program until Friday at 5 p.m. CST.

The one-year pilot initiative aims to support Alabama-based industry partners in launching and testing innovative, work-based talent development models. These can include paid internships, STEM-focused education, and hands-on entrepreneurship training designed to strengthen the state’s talent pipeline.

Eligible proposals must:

  • Be led by an Alabama-based industry partner focused on talent development.

  • Target students or educators in K-12, higher education, or the adult workforce.

  • Emphasize STEM and/or entrepreneurship.

  • Demonstrate clear goals, measurable outcomes, and a plan for scalability.

  • Prioritize regional, rural, or collaborative efforts.

Organizations selected for the program will receive one-year grants to pilot strategies that better prepare Alabamians for future jobs and boost long-term workforce competitiveness across the state.
