Holiday cheer takes root: Tree Farm brings magic to Children’s of Alabama

On Wednesday, Children’s of Alabama patients and their families participated in a long-standing holiday tradition. They picked out a holiday tree from the annual Tree Farm, presented by Ace Hardware.

For the sixth consecutive year, the hospital’s patio was transformed into a magical winter wonderland. The children and their families were filled with joy as they selected their tree from a vast array of 3-foot trees and holiday decorations. They were also delighted to receive a blanket and the annual Tree Farm Ornament. This year, the addition of a hat-making station, where the children could design their own truckers’ hats, added an extra layer of excitement. As they participated in these activities, they were also treated to a delightful snowfall, adding to the festive atmosphere.

“This event offers our patients and their families some holiday magic and a sense of normalcy during the holiday season,” said Carmen Maddox, Manager of Community Development at Children’s of Alabama. “We are so fortunate to have the support of Ace retailers around the state and others in the community. Their support makes this event special for our patients and their families.”

Children’s of Alabama extended special thanks to Ace Hardware, HOAR Construction, and the Junior League of Birmingham for helping to bring the holiday spirit to the patients and their families.
