Senate President Pro Tem Greg Reed (R-Jasper) announced the promotion of Harrison Adams to a new post on Wednesday. Reed tapped Adams to serve as his Director of Policy and Communications. Adams has served as Communications Director in Reed’s office for more than a year.
“Harrison has done an outstanding job in the role of Communications Director in our office,” said Reed. “Because he possesses a brilliant legal mind and an uncanny grasp of public policy, it was only natural for him to take on increased responsibilities and broaden the ways he can assist in the legislative process. Harrison, in his new role, will be a valuable asset to the Alabama Senate and our approach to conservative governance.”
Adams is a native of Selma and a graduate of the University of Alabama where he was president of the Student Government Association. He also received a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law.

“First and foremost, I’m grateful for the opportunity Senator Reed has given me to serve the Senate while in his office,” Adams remarked. “The people of Alabama can be proud of the work being done in the Senate chamber, and I’m honored to be part of the effort to make our state an even better place to live and work.”
Adams’ elevation to the position is effective immediately. He will maintain all of his existing responsibilities with external communications on behalf of the Office of President Pro Tem.
