Alabama Senate Majority Leader Greg Reed (R-Jasper) congratulated State Senator Bobby Singleton (D-Greensboro), who on Wednesday was elected minority leader of the Alabama Senate by his seven Democratic colleagues.
“Senator Singleton and I have worked closely together on several issues over the past few years and he has always been a man of his word. We have our political differences, but as we enter a new legislative term, I look forward to finding common ground with Minority Leader Singleton and advancing legislation that will make Alabama a better state for all of her citizens,” Reed said.
Reed represents Senate District 5, which is comprised of all or parts of Winston, Walker, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson and Fayette counties.
