Gov. Kay Ivey’s reelection campaign on Tuesday released its latest TV advertisement which displays the governor’s lack of nice words to say about President Joe Biden.
The 30-second TV spot features the governor offering advice her parents gave her as a child, suggesting that an individual should say nothing rather than talk bad about someone.
“Growing up, my mom and dad told us, ‘If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.’ Well, here is what I have to say about Joe Biden,” says Ivey, before reserving her thoughts on the president.
After a few moments of silence from the governor, a voice-over says, “Alabama’s one and only, Kay Ivey.”
Ivey concludes, “Poor Joe… Bless his heart.”
William Califf, campaign manager of Ivey’s reelection bid, touted the governor and asserted that her willingness to combat the Biden administration had kept Alabama “strong and free.”
“Joe Biden is an unmitigated disaster and his failures would fill several 30 second TV spots,” declared Califf. “Here in Alabama, we’re lucky to have the strong conservative leadership of Governor Kay Ivey — fighting back against Washington and keeping us strong and free.”
