Auburn University football recruiting target Logan Anderson, a four-star linebacker from DeKalb County’s Fyffe High School, has committed to Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers.

As a running back, Anderson turned in 265 carries for 2,864 yards and 45 touchdowns last season, one of the most prolific rushing campaigns in state history,
“We’re really, really proud of him and hope the very best for him. We’ve still got a season to play, and he’s just going to get better and better and keep working like he has,” Fyffe coach Paul Benefield told AL.com.
“It’s just really special to be able to go to a school like that, and I don’t think he could have made a better choice.”
The rising high school senior chose Clemson over offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia, Ole Miss, and more. Auburn originally offered the 6’2″, 215-pound prospect after he turned in an impressive camp showing in early June, but couldn’t beat out the ACC powerhouse to secure his services.
“I like the whole [Clemson] coaching staff,” Anderson said. “I like what they stand for. They stand for what you want to stand for … the right things — God and family, and it’s a good thing that they don’t take kids in the transfer portal. That’s a big offer for me.”
Despite losing out on Anderson, Hugh Freeze and the Auburn staff are still hard at work pursuing defensive recruits. The Tigers will host four-star safety Anquon Fegans, four-star edge rusher Jared Smith, and four-star cornerback Blake Woodby at Saturday’s Big Cat Weekend recruiting event.
