Forestry Association endorses McCool

The Alabama Forestry Association has endorsed Appellate Court Judge Chris McCool for the Alabama Supreme Court.

“Growing up in rural Alabama, Judge McCool appreciates private land ownership and he is quite familiar with the role our industry serves providing economic opportunity in these areas. We need more leaders in our state like Judge McCool and we are pleased to endorse him for the Alabama Supreme Court,” said AFA CEO and President Chris Isaacson. “He has a strong work ethic and knowledge of the law, but most importantly, his character and faith makes him a truly special public servant.”

McCool has been on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals since 2018. A graduate of the University of Alabama and the Alabama School of Law, McCool was a district attorney from 2001-18.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of ForestPAC and the support of the members of the Alabama Forestry Association,” said McCool. “As a landowner and lifelong resident of West Alabama, I know firsthand how important the forest products industry is to our state and nation. I am extremely pleased to receive this endorsement of my campaign for the Alabama Supreme Court by one of our state’s most conservative and prominent advocacy groups.”

McCool and his wife, Sherri, live on their family farm in Pickens County.

The primary election is March 5, 2024.
