Flawless Delivery holds its first Spanish-language hospitality training class in Alabama

Flawless Delivery Alabama, a leader in hospitality training, proudly announces the successful completion of its first-ever Spanish-language hospitality course in Alabama. Hosted in collaboration with the Hispanic American Business Association of the Gulf Coast and the Continental Kitchen, the two-day class, held December 2-3, 2024, in Mobile, welcomed 16 attendees eager to enhance their skills and advance their careers in the growing hospitality industry.

The milestone event provided participants with in-depth training on the basics of customer service, conflict management and resolution, stress management, and communication strategies—all delivered entirely in Spanish. The free course aimed to empower Spanish-speaking hospitality professionals, a vital segment of Alabama’s workforce, by providing accessible, high-quality training tailored to their needs.

“The Hispanic American Business Association of the Gulf Coast was honored to host and sponsor the Flawless Delivery training in Spanish at our non-profit project, the Continental Kitchen,” said Dr. Leida Javier-Ferrell, past president of the Hispanic American Business Association of the Gulf Coast and project manager of the Continental Kitchen. “This activity aligns perfectly with our mission of providing no-cost training in the areas of workforce and economic development in the region. By providing the training in Spanish, we were able to reach an underserved group of hospitality professionals, many of which had never had any type of professional development training. The participants were impressed with the professionalism of the trainers and the content of the materials covered.”

The attendees, representing various roles in the hospitality industry in the Mobile area, engaged in hands-on learning activities, interactive discussions, and team-building exercises along with lectures. The class was held at the Continental Kitchen, a nonprofit shared kitchen incubator and multipurpose space located in Mobile. According to Dr. Javier-Ferrell, meals during the class were provided by three of the food businesses that operate from the shared kitchen incubator.

“We are excited by the positive response to our inaugural Spanish-language course,” said Tami Reist, Flawless Delivery Program Director and President/CEO of the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association. “It reflects our commitment to fostering inclusivity and meeting the needs of a diverse workforce that is essential to the success of Alabama’s tourism industry.”

This landmark achievement marks the beginning of a broader initiative by Flawless Delivery to expand access to its programs for multilingual professionals.
