Paul DeMarco today released a new campaign spot set in the Homewood Pharmacy, a familiar landmark in DeMarco’s Edgewood neighborhood and the perfect setting for a healthcare-related ad.
Here’s the transcript:
You see them everywhere — victims of ObamaCare.
Some were promised they could keep their doctor, they can’t. Others’ premiums went up 30 percent. And some, completely dropped.
We all agree that ObamaCare is a disaster, so I’ll not only fight to repeal it, but until we do, I’ll work every day to fix your ObamaCare problems.
I’m Paul DeMarco and I approved this message because I’ll fight for what we believe no matter what.
In releasing the ad, DeMarco also took the opportunity to take a veiled shot at one of his opponents on Twitter:
We decided to go negative in our next TV ad – against the real opponent: http://t.co/FCNRmdchKQ #alpolitics #tcot #teaparty #gop #AL06

DeMarco is presumably alluding to fellow 6th Congressional District candidate Will Brooke’s decision to call DeMarco a “career politician” in his most recent ad.
ObamaCare-bashing ads are a dime a dozen in Republican primaries at this point, but what do you think about DeMarco’s? Was it effective? Let us know in the comment section below or by tweeting @YHPolitics.
