Cullman, AL – Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism has been an innovative leader in providing quality recreation opportunities to the residents of Cullman and the surrounding areas for over 30 years, and now the growing department is making an exciting announcement.
A new water park, WildWater, will be built in the coming months.
The first of its kind in Alabama, WildWater will be a three-acre addition to Cullman’s existing waterpark, bringing the overall size to four acres.
The design for Cullman’s WildWater was created by Aquatic Development Group while the slides and tower complex was designed by Proslide Technologies.
WildWater set to open in the spring of 2022 will include the following features:
· CannonBowl, one/two-person raft ride with a 43-foot drop.
· Tornado Wave, one/two-person raft ride with a 43-foot drop.
· Rally Racer, 4-person mat racer with rally points and with timing and scoring, 43-foot overall drop.
· TurboTWISTER, High speed body slide with an overall drop of 55 feet.
· Kids zone with miniature versions of the larger slides.
· 22,000 square foot wave pool.

Established in 1979, the department offers 10 parks, a golf course and five recreational facilities that provide activities for all ages and interests including athletics, senior programs, community events, aquatics, fitness, arts and more. The department has won numerous state and national awards for its large-scale impact on the community, serving as a catalyst for the tourism industry in Cullman as well as providing nationally recognized facilities and programs for the area’s population.
