Britt returning to Enterprise High School for commencement speech

The graduating class at Enterprise High School will be hearing from a very special commencement speaker at their graduation ceremony next week. According to WDHN News, U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-AL) has agreed to deliver remarks at the event, which is scheduled to take place on May 22 at the Wildcats’ football stadium.

Britt, an alum of the high school and native of Enterprise, graduated in 2000 before attending the University of Alabama. The Senator is on an impressive list of notable Enterprise alumni, including St. Louis Cardinals standout second baseman Brendan Donovan, New England Patriots cornerback Marcus Jones, U.S. Rep Barry Moore (R-Enterprise), and Georgia Bulldogs running back Josh McCray.

Britt is Alabama’s first ever elected female senator and also the youngest woman from the Republican Party in history to be elected to the upper chamber.
