Britt in favor of holding ‘worst of the worst’ illegal aliens at Guantanamo Bay

The future of the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp was left uncertain after the Biden Administration worked for four years to transfer or release the vast majority of its inmates. Now, with Biden out of office and President Donald Trump back in the White House, the prison is set to once again play a role in helping keep Americans safe.

Instead of terrorists, this time the prison will house some of the most violent criminal illegal aliens to have crossed into the United States thus far.

Alabama’s Senator Katie Britt joined Fox News on Tuesday to discuss the incarceration of illegals at Guantanamo Bay and also to praise Trump for his leadership on the matter.

“This is an exciting day. Peace through strength is back,” said Britt. “It’s nice to have a commander-in-chief and a secretary of state who’s willing to put America first.”

Britt contrasted the actions of Trump and Biden in their response to the crisis of illegal immigration.

“It’s remarkable that you had an administration that wasn’t even willing to ask the world to take their criminals back. And yet you have this administration who is saying enough is enough with signing the Laken Riley Act last week, saying, we’re going to get criminals off of our streets. We’re going to detain them. Now we hear this week we are going to deport them to Gitmo. You have Joe Biden, who had an open border system and drained Gitmo, actually emptying it. Now you have President Trump, who has closed borders and is saying, I’m going to fill it up with the worst of the worst.”

“It is an exciting day. And this is what strength looks like. This is what winning looks like.”

Per Fox News, President Trump has told the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security to prepare for the possibility of holding approximately 30,000 individuals at the U.S. military base. Around 200 Marines have been sent to Guantanamo Bay so far to ready the base for its new residents. Another 500 are scheduled to arrive in a matter of days.
