The Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile got a huge boost to its quarterback class yesterday afternoon, with former Auburn and Oregon quarterback Bo Nix accepting his invitation to come back to the state of Alabama and play in the game.
Nix, who transferred to Oregon before the 2022 season, has been one of the most productive quarterbacks in the entire nation since arriving in Eugene.
His final performance in the Fiesta Bowl against Liberty this past Monday was marvelous, completing 28 of his 35 attempts for 363 yards and five touchdowns in the Ducks’ 45-6 bowl victory.

He also broke an NCAA record this season previously held by Alabama’s Mac Jones by completing an incredible 77.44% of his passes, passing Jones’ previous mark of 77.36%.
Nix was a three year starter at Auburn, but things never really fully clicked for him on The Plains and he elected to leave after the 2021 season during which he played 10 games before injury derailed the remainder of his year.
In an era where draft prospects are opting out of bowl games left and right, Nix chose to stick it out and play in his final game at Oregon with his teammates before even announcing his acceptance to the Senior Bowl, a testament to his character.
Look out for Nix to make a splash in February when he returns to his home state.
