Birmingham-based Maynard Cooper & Gale adds Miami office, continuing expansion

Maynard Cooper & Gale this week announced yet another major expansion of its national footprint. The prestigious Birmingham-based law firm now has a physical presence in South Florida with the new addition of a Miami office, as well as litigation attorneys Jeannine Jacobson and Latanae Parker.

The opening of Maynard’s Miami office aligns with continuing the firm’s strategic growth into top-tier, high-opportunity markets. The firm now has 300 attorneys across 11 offices nationwide.

In addition to Alabama locations in Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery and Mobile, Maynard also has offices in: Dallas, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Nashville, TN; New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; and Washington, D.C.

“We are excited to add Miami to our footprint further expanding our reach in serving a growing clientele in Florida. This opportunity not only strengthens our Insurance and Managed Care Litigation practices, but it also creates significant growth opportunities in Florida for other practices at the Firm,” stated Jeff Grantham, Maynard’s managing shareholder.

“This expansion – in combination with our moves to Dallas and Nashville in the past year – aligns with the Firm’s focus on strategic growth, enhances our capabilities in key practice areas, and increases our ability to serve our clients across numerous geographies and industries,” added Greg Curran, Maynard’s chairman.

Jacobson joins Maynard as a shareholder in the firm’s Insurance and Managed Care Litigation practice groups, while Parker joins the firm as a senior associate with significant experience in ERISA and group insurance litigation and managed care.

“Jeannine and Latanae are a great professional and cultural fit with our firm — respected, top attorneys in their field who live our core values of client-centered teamwork,” said Grantham.
