U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) on Tuesday announced a slate of 56 county coordinators spanning Alabama, marking what his campaign describes as a broad grassroots organization in his bid for the U.S. Senate.
The Barry Moore county coordinators list includes representatives from counties stretching from Mobile to the Tennessee Valley, with multiple coordinators in several of the state’s largest counties.
“I’ve always been the grassroots conservative candidate,” Moore said in a statement. “We’ve got a great team of volunteers and leaders backing our campaign, and I’m proud to have earned their trust. Just like President Trump, they’re backing me because I will never waver in defense of Alabama or our conservative principles.”
Among those named is State Sen. April Weaver (R-Brierfield), who will serve as coordinator in Bibb County.
Moore’s campaign said the list represents the largest publicly released group of grassroots supporters by any Republican candidate in Alabama’s U.S. Senate race this cycle.
