According to ecollegefinder.com, a website that represents over 120 accredited online colleges and universities, the University of Alabama has the most expensive dorm rooms in the Yellowhammer State.
The website used data from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics to determine which universities charge the most for on-campus housing. Only schools that offer 4-year degrees were considered.
At the University of Alabama, you’ll have to cough up $13,156 if you want to live in a dorm.
While that may sound like a lot of money, it’s important to remember that things could always be worse. The New York School of Interior Design has the most expensive room and board in the nation: a whopping $21,000.
