Auburn’s Bruce Pearl gives Tim Walz some advice from a real coach: ‘Don’t walk away’ when asked to condemn Hamas

Last weekend, six hostages were executed by Hamas including 23-year old Hersh Goldberg-Polin, an Israeli American. Israel Defense Forces discovered the bodies in a Gaza tunnel where the hostages were being held by Hamas.

Outraged by this, Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl, as he has done throughout the conflict in Gaza, has taken to social media to rip those who allowed this to happen and did not secure the safe return of the hostages.

But it was Pearl’s diatribe while speaking to the Republican Jewish Coalition that really made headlines across social media, especially when he directly went after Minnesota Governor and candidate for Vice President Tim Walz over his lack of comment on the tragic executions when he was asked by reporters about it. WATCH:

“I’ve got some advice for an assistant coach up in Minnesota that would like to be our next Vice President,” Pearl said, referencing Walz’s widely publicized football coaching career. “Next time a reporter asks you your reaction to six Israelis being executed, don’t walk away from them because you’re afraid you’re gonna piss off some voters and lose the state of Michigan. As a coach, what we would do is we would tell them we were horrified, we were disgusted, and we’re gonna go hunt down those terrorists and we are gonna hold the people who are responsible for them, Hamas, responsible!”
