Alabama Veterans Memorial Park to host veterans tribute ceremony on Sunday in Mountain Brook

Alabama’s Veterans Memorial Park in Mountain Brook will be the host site for a ‘Veteran Tribute’ ceremony this Sunday. The event will pay homage to the 11,000 Alabamians who have died defending the United States of America and also offer guests the chance to see stories, letters, artwork, and inscriptions about Alabama veterans, including the state’s 24 Medal of Honor recipients.

Ms. Alisa Stack, Executive Secretary of the Office of the Chief of Staff, Department of Veterans Affairs, will be the guest speaker.

Guests will have the opportunity to visit the Regiment of Columns and the Hall of Honor. At the Regiment of Columns, guests will be able to see materials compiled about veterans from the state. Additionally, the Hall of Honor features the names of the Alabamians who have lost their lives defending the country.
