Alabama secures commitment from elite in-state offensive tackle during huge weekend for recruitment

The Alabama Crimson Tide secured a commitment from an elite, in-state offensive lineman after a huge visiting weekend in Tuscaloosa.

Vigor (Mobile, AL) offensive tackle Micah DeBose has committed to play for the Tide.

DeBose, who had previously been committed to Georgia, backed off that pledge around Christmas time and saw heavy pursuit from both Auburn and Alabama as well as LSU and Ohio State.

DeBose is a massive prospect who stands at 6’5″ and weighs nearly 320 pounds. He has the ability to play tackle or guard at the next level after he graduates in the 2025 class.

He is the fourth offensive lineman to commit to Alabama in the last two weeks along with Michael Carroll, Mal Waldrep, and Jackson Lloyd.

Alabama had a huge recruiting weekend that was capped off with DuBose’s pledge. The Tide have been crystal balled for numerous five-stars as well including California cornerback Dijon Lee, Texas offensive tackle Ty Haywood, and Mississippi wide receiver Caleb Cunningham.

While there’s still a long way to go in the class of 2025, DeBoer has moved Alabama into the top three in the country and might not even be close to done yet.

Any questions as to whether or not Kalen DeBoer will be able to recruit in the South seem to be getting answered with a definitive yes.
