Alabama Retail PAC announced seven additional endorsements for the 2026 election Monday, including Republican statewide nominees John Wahl, Katherine Robertson and Corey Hill.
The political action committee of the Alabama Retail Association endorsed Wahl for lieutenant governor, Robertson for attorney general and Hill for commissioner of agriculture and industries.
Wahl faces Democratic State Rep. Phillip Ensler in November, while Robertson faces Democrat Jeff McLaughlin. Hill will face former Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks, the Democratic nominee.
The PAC also announced endorsements in four legislative races:
- Terry Waters, Senate District 22
- Patrick Johnson, House District 8
- Jeff Monroe, House District 37
- Bill Morris, House District 50
“Retail plays an important role in our communities, and the decisions made at every level of government can have a real impact on our businesses,” Alabama Retail Association Chairman Melissa Cross said.
“We are proud to announce these endorsements and encourage Alabama retailers to make the retail vote count in the 2026 election.”
The organization says its PAC supports candidates it believes recognize the role of retail in Alabama’s economy and favor a strong business climate. The Alabama Retail Association represents approximately 4,500 independent merchants and national company members across the state.
The latest endorsements add to a larger slate announced earlier this year that included Republican gubernatorial nominee Tommy Tuberville and candidates across the Alabama Legislature and judiciary.
