Alabama Republican Assembly endorses Twinkle Cavanaugh for reelection in 2024 – ‘conservative principles’

Twinkle Cavanaugh has picked up another notable endorsement in her bid to continue serving as President of the Alabama Public Service Commission. The Alabama Republican Assembly, one of the most cohesive conservative groups in the state, announced its support of Cavanaugh’s reelection efforts.

“Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh has been a member and strong supporter of the Alabama Republican Assembly for over 15 years,” William Smith, President of the ARA told Yellowhammer News. “Her conservative principles are consistent with those of Presidents Reagan and Trump as she has demonstrated as Chair of the Alabama Republican Party and throughout her public service.”

Cavanaugh explained her decision to seek a fourth term as President, specifically citing the Biden Administration’s damaging energy policies.

“I’m running again because I refuse to stand by and let Joe Biden and the liberals in Washington ruin our country with their unrealistic and unworkable ideas on energy and the environment,” she said. “Biden’s effort to deny Americans the use of oil, coal and natural gas has made energy far more expensive. That’s why I will continue fighting him and his liberal environmental supporters every step of the way until we get full use of the resources God provided for our benefit.

“Despite Joe Biden’s best efforts to oppose us, our commitment to utilizing coal and natural gas for energy production kept the heat on for millions of Alabamians during some of the coldest weather on record.”

The Alabama Republican Assembly is the grassroots association of conservative Republicans. It is committed to upholding and fighting for constitutional principles and the preservation of the republic.
