Alabama Power Made Swift Work of Storm Damage From Hurricane Nate

As reported by Alabama Newscenter, out of the 156,000 Alabama homes left without power as a result of Hurricane Nate, less than 10,000 remain in the dark.

Immediately following the storm, Alabama Power workers, with the assistance of crews from 11 other states, began work to restore services as soon as conditions allowed. In some areas, work began as soon as Sunday night, and by Monday more than 147,000 residences had been restored.

Of the 8,500 Alabamians still without power, most are located in the Mobile area. This region suffered the brunt of the storm, as Nate brought high winds and storm surge through most of South Alabama.
