Alabama, NFL superstar Marlon Humphrey: ‘Trump took a bullet for America’

Social media erupted after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon. Many athletes and celebrities expressed their support for Trump following the incident.

One notable figure who spoke out strongly was Marlon Humphrey, a former standout football player at Hoover High School, the University of Alabama, and currently, the Baltimore Ravens.

“Trump took a bullet for America,” the current Baltimore Raven posted.

Humphrey played at Alabama from 2014 to 2016 following a stellar career at Hoover, where he was a three-time All-State selection. He was a key piece of the national championship-winning defense in 2015, which was widely regarded as perhaps the best defense of the Nick Saban era.

The Ravens selected Humphrey in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and he has been with the team ever since. He has continued to excel at the NFL level, being named to the Pro Bowl three times and earning a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2019.
