Alabama leaders stand with Israel’s right to defense

Palestinian militants operating out of Hamas-occupied Gaza have launched a series of attacks on Israel, signaling a new chapter in the hostilities in the Holy Land that date back to the founding of the nation of Israel.

Alabama leaders are unequivocally voicing their support for the State of Israel and its people.

U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) said Israel has every right to respond with force — “The United States and Alabama stand firmly with Israel as they defend themselves against these barbaric terrorist attacks.”

U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Alabama) voiced her unwavering support for the people of Israel.

“Alabama and the United States stands with Israel – our greatest ally, friend, and partner.”

“Israel has every right to defend itself and respond to these vicious terrorist attacks with overwhelming force,” Britt said. “The Biden Administration since January 2021 has consistently empowered and enabled our greatest adversaries, including Iran – Israel’s sworn enemy.”

Britt blamed President Joe Biden’s policies for the deterioration of conditions in the Middle East.

“Make no mistake—the people of Israel are paying the devastating price for President Biden’s $6 billion ransom payment to Iran,” Britt added. “That disastrous deal was announced by the Administration on the anniversary of 9/11, and now Israel is facing its own 9/11 at the hands of Iranian proxies. The Biden Administration’s appeasement put blood in the water, and now it has more blood on its hands.”

Congressman Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) said may God bless Israel.

Congressman Mike Rogers (R-AL03), the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, released a statement condemning the attacks on Israel by Iran-backed Hamas terrorists.

Congressman Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) said he firmly stands with Israel — and so does America.

Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-AL04) said, “I stand strongly with Israel in her hour of need and pray for those in harms way and under attack.”

Congresswoman Terri Sewell (D-AL07) also condemned the “horrific terrorist attack being perpetrated by Hamas on the people of Israel.”

Congressman Gary Palmer (R-AL06) called the attack “barbaric, wicked, and inhumane.”

Congressman Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) pointed to the Biden Administration’s recent investment in the machine attacking Israel.

Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth said he asks Alabamians to join him in praying for Israel and its citizens.

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall reflected on a recent visit to Israel.

Hundreds of people are dead in Israel and with Israel already retaliating against Hamas in Gaza those numbers are expected to climb substantially.
